Air Rifle Shooting

Tolmers has two outdoor and one indoor range. Air Rifle shooting using .177 calibre rifles is run by Tolmers Service Crew instructors holding the National Small-bore Rifle Association Youth Leader qualification. Groups who wish to instruct themselves must have an N.S.R.A. qualification and bring their certificates with them.

Bungee Trampoline

Unlike normal trampolines the use of harnesses and bungee elastics means that participants are able to reach greater heights and try out acrobatic somersaults in a safe environment.

Climbing/Abseiling

Climbing and Abseiling takes place on our climbing tower and is run by Tolmers Service Crew instructors with the relevant qualification. The tower may also be booked without instructors provided the group has their own equipment and an instructor holding the required qualification.

Inflatable Assault Course



  • A large 35 x 45 ft Inflatable assault course
  • Run as a relay race between 2 people/teams
  • A large slide at the end
  • Groups of 20 – 30 per hour
  • Requires adult supervision

Rope-A-Phobia

A mobile high ropes course consisting of 8 different challenges all at a height of 7m (22ft) above the ground.

Participants climb up a cargo net where they manoeuvre across swinging rope bridges and narrow wires attached to a safety puck system, before attaching to an auto belay system to descent down a fireman's pole back to the ground.

Vertical Wall

There are 4 climbing sides to this 7.3 metre (24ft) high wall so 4 people can be climbing at the same time, all supported by their own Auto Belay system. With varying climbs it is suitable for all levels of abiliity.

Archery

We have two sheltered ranges and all the required equipment. Archery is run by Tolmers Service Crew instructors to Grand National Archery Society Sports Leader Award standards. Groups who wish to instruct themselves must have an instructor with G.N.A.S. Sports Leader Award qualification and bring their certificates with them.

Canoeing/Kayaking

We have an assortment of canoes and kayaks as well as the required safety equipment. Canoeing takes place on Bert's Pool and supervision can be supplied if needed. Groups who wish to instruct themselves must have an instructor with at least a British Canoe Union 2 Star qualification and bring their certificates with them.

Coconut Tree Climb

This activity provides a lot of fun as well as requiring the use of very different climbing skills to the other climbing walls on site. It is a brightly themed activity where participants climb up a coconut tree trunk using their own Auto Belay system. There are 3 trees on the activity so 3 people can climb at the same time.

Raft Building

This takes place on Berts Pool at the far end of the site. It is an excellent team building activity enabling groups to work together to build their raft before trying it to see if it floats on the lake!

The Rock

The Rock is a rotating climbing wall that is suitable for all ages and abilities. It has a number of pre-set climbing programmes that enable users to experience the challenge of climbing from just a few feet off the ground.

No specialised equipment is needed and The Rock can be operated by any person over 18.

Water Wars

A fun activity consisting of two opposite battle stations. From within their station participants fire water balloons at their opposing team using a bungee catapult.
