As a scout Campsite Tolmers is only available to authorised Scout, Guide, School and Youth groups, we are not open to the general public. This enables us to keep to strict child protection rules insisted by the Scout Association. Therefore everyone onsite is required to have a regular CRB check and adhere to guidelines set out by the Scout Association. All staff are trained to the required level to instruct their activity and have the appropriate qualifications required by GNAS, NSRA, BCU and ADIPS, which are regulation authorities we work closely with. We have First Aid onsite but we recommend that you also bring a qualified first aider with your group as well.

At Tolmers we can provide a full/ half day’s activity programme for any size group from 10 students to a whole school of 500. We will work with you, the teachers, to put together a suitable programme for your class which will be based on the numbers attending and the ages of the group. We can arrange for a catered lunch to be provided for these trips or otherwise we recommend bringing a packed lunch. We have a small souvenir shop on site as well as a few vending machines which sell hot and cold drinks and snacks.

As well as Day visits we can also provide either accommodation or camping for residential trips. We have a fully equipped indoor accommodation building which sleeps 36, or we can provide tents if camping is desired. Catering can be provided and again we will work with you to put together a suitable activity programme for during your stay - This can include evening activities.
