Team Tolmers Peak Assault 2019

A team consisting of several of our volunteer Service Crew, competed in the Hertfordshire Scouts hillwalking competition, Peak Assault.

“Team Tolmers” consisted of Nai, Katie, Chris, Kara, Nick and James.

“With Thanks” Awards October 2019

At the “Old 2nd Cockfosters Scouts Group” Coffee & Cake morning at Tolmers Andy Woodman (Deputy Warden) took the occasion to award “With Thanks” pin badges to the long term volunteer team of Colin and Sheila Turner, Bryan & Vivienne Bell, Keith Langdale, Mike Coles, Freddy & Jenny O’Hare for their volunteering over ten years to site maintenance and currently serving in the Providore at the major camp gatherings. Andy declared their assistance as a valuable contribution to Tolmers in freeing the trained and qualified activity leaders on the Service Crew to run the camp entertainment and field events for the young people attending.

Supporting Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust A Very British Afternoon Tea

We are very proud to be supporting Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust, and during CTT, our legendary Joy laid on “A Very British Afternoon Tea”. At this event, Joy and campsite manager Chris presented Jeannie, EHAAT Fundraising Coordinator, with a cheque for £1800!

King of the swingers June 2017

The latest addition to our adventurous activity lineup is our new high ropes course. This challenging and fun activity can take up to 30 participants an hour.

Scaling new heights January 2017

In addition to the mobile climbing activities and our old faithful climbing wall, we now have a 32ft static climbing wall. Working on the same hydraulic belay system as the mobile walls, our new wall is ultra safe while providing more of a challenge for all age ranges.

For your convenience July 2014

We are also very proud to announce that our newest toilet block is open and ready for use. They are conveniently located next to the site office, and closer to some of the main activities.

There are six separate toilet cubicles, each with a basin and a radiator to make that necessary trip in the winter a bit more tolerable!

Get ready for launch... June 2014

Anyone who has used the lake for canoeing and rafting will remember one of the thrills was simply navigating the bank to get in and out of the lake!

We are pleased to announce a newly built launch area for water activities, together with 5 new kayaks to give you and your young people a great water experience.
